Abi Wallenstein, the “Father of the Hamburg Blues Scene,” has been captivating audiences for almost 55 years with his eight-string guitar, his gritty voice and his unmistakable stage presence. From his early days as a street musician to performing at festivals and opening for legends such as Joe Cocker, Johnny Winter and Fats Domino, Abi has always drawn audiences in with his unique blend of bass lines, rhythms and riffs. Numerous awards, including the German Blues Award and the Blues Louis, underline his outstanding status in the European blues scene.

Michael van Merwyk, “The Songster,” brings American Music – Euro Style to the stage with his resonator guitar and warm, rich voice. Whether blues, songwriting or unexpected covers, MvM plays every setting with authenticity and intensity, always with a twinkle in his eye and an infectious joy of playing. His music is deeply rooted in the tradition of great songsters such as Mississippi John Hurt and Lead Belly, yet remains unmistakably his own – wild, intense and full of character. Martin Röttger is a pioneer of the cajón in Europe. For decades, he has accompanied major national and international artists, developed his own distinctive style and helped establish the cajón as a fully-fledged percussion instrument. With more than 2,000 concerts and countless international workshops under his belt, Röttger combines precision, sensitivity and groove, providing the perfect rhythmic foundation for the trio.
